Mina's tale.. I had a quick ending to my childhood, after the evil came...and when I saw my parents fall at the hands of those evil...*sobs*...evil things that came...I had to run, and run I did. I was in the forests around Brittain, lost....a wolf...I remember it now...I followed the wolf, he saved me....lead me to the fairies, to safety.. They showed me how to survive. with all the skills taught to me and with my knowledge there was only one way for me to go. Back, Back to Moonglow, I will avenge the deaths of my family, my friends, the death of my childhood. Something had changed...There were no gates back to Felluca, no way back to my home. For an age I searched, destroying any evil that crossed my path. I was lost and there seemed like no way of ever finding my way home. I was ambushed by a party of darkness and overcome by the evil ones, fearing my pain was at an end I yelled out in anguish...fighting to my very last breath. That is when I first saw the stranger, the one named Glory. She rode in and saved my soul. Just a passing stranger to her, but soon, to become my leader. She fought with bravery and honor that I have never seen and fear will never again, outnumbered but not outfought she destroyed my attackers. I now know why she bore the name Glory. After the battle was done, she tended my wounds and we started to talk. I told her my tale of woe, but the look in her eyes was of horror and relief. She was from my town, from the very same village as I was and had heard of some magic way to return. Since that day we have never been apart from each other, we formed an alliance to return together and avenge all who fell, and now that day has arrived. |
Glory's tale.. My father taught me to fight from an early age. He said he could sense the evil coming and he wasn't wrong. My last memory of him is watching him battle 50 evil minions to allow me to escape, I saw him fall from the distance... They all fell that day. I ran to the place my father had made for this day. He was always prepared, and he taught me how to survive. I trained, then I trained some more. When I was ready...I went out to hunt down the evil that had come. But things had changed...the land was different, There seemed no way back to my home. I found many travelers who kept whispering of a doorway to the forgotten land. That was my home...my way back and I had to find it, I had to avenge my father! There was a yell of anguish in the distance, A strange sound of joy yet of pain...I had to go and help...I could not stop myself.. Evil, many many evil minions..they had overcome a poor warrior...no...it was a druid...I had to stop them, had to save her. I ran into battle, losing was not an option...I had to fight until there were none left to die....and I did...with every swing of my club another 3 fell, then it was over. We talked while I tended to her wounds, she told me a story of where she came from and how she too was lost...but to my shock, she told me that she was from my home town...Moonglow. From that day we have traveled looking for our way back, for our revenge. The day is near...

Thorn Nightshade In the Hidden mountains there was an uprising. The drow had finally had enough of the ruling royal crown. The uprising was fast and brutal, and quickl as it started had it already ended. The sole surviving member of the royal crown, A young Urchin named Thorn Nightshade, a smart girl with a tongue as sharp as her name. She had managed to get out of the royal house unscathed and undetected. Her will to avenge her family did not exist, for she truly did not like them much anyways and in true drow manner, she left it all behind to go in search of other ways to cause troubles. On a dark misty night, A howling gale blew...strong and mysterious. Such a gale that had only been heard of in stories of the Mysterious Trilenium gateway, a magical doorway thru the undead lands, where warriors can test their steel against undead spirits in their quest for eternal life. A tale once told to a young thorn. She wandered intrusively forward, smelling for the scent of fresh blood...seeking fun and adventure, and the thrill of a hunt. What she found was an army of footsoldiers wavering before her, real yet unreal. There but nowhere. Thrusting her trusty dagger forward into them did nothing more than cause a shimmering effect and their blades did nothing to her. Then she saw the unreal image of a shimmering faintly glowing closed doorway. As the drow cannot contain their sense of excitement of potential battle, forward she went to try and open the doorway. She opened her eyes, It as as if she had just walked thru the doorway, Unaware of her surroundings, unaware of the hundreds of dead corpses surrounding her...unaware that she was untouched. Thorn wandered thru the ghastly plains of the undead, Demolishing all the foul fiends with a girlish shriek of joy as they fell before her. This was indeed the place that the stories were about, but where did it lead her to? Where was she to go to find the doorway out? For weeks she travelled thru the stinking lands before she finaly saw the light. a beaming tower of in the distance....And a roadway with a stark warning written in blood afore it. " Pass ye and Judgment shall be laid upon ye " Thorn Was elated at finding her way there...and was soon met by wave upon wave of footsaoldiers, but now their blades were glowing and dripping with gunge...they were hurting her and she now had to battle her judges. Long were the battles, Footsoldiers, Horse warriors, dragons and beings unknown to any Drow kind. But battle was what she did, it was her essence of life, the thrill of the fight. Finally having defeated the last of the Phantom warriors, did she then realize the extent of her troubles. She had been judged by the undead and had been deemed acceptable to join them. Never would she be allowed to leave this horrible torturous place. Never will she have one day of rest....no time left to her to try to survive. She ran to the white glowing temple as its light started to dwindle, smaller and smaller, but faster she ran. As she aproached the now rapidly dissapearing light, she fell down. Desperate to survive she hurled her royal blade at the fading light...What happened next she is not sure...All that is known by the drow about the doorways is held in the ancient tower of the royal house, all except the sacred stone held by the royal heir. The story of the key turned out to be true, Fables of childhood held some esteem after all. She had escaped the terror of the ghastly undead lands and now faced a strange new world...but...what price was their to pay for the great escape.... she was thrust thru the doorway with a resounding crash....and the doorway was exploded open, allowing all to cross its threshold......

Glory's tale.. The end of fate Many years had passed since the finding of her home. Mina and Glory had ammassed a great guild of Felluca Warrior and their hunts were legendary. The days were good to the lost children now. Glory had gone off into felluca on one of her hunts as she did nearly every day. Her mission to protect the innocents would never end. This day however, would be her last hunt in Felluca. When she saw the blinding far off flash and heard the great roar, a shrieking more louder than a thousand souls she knew there was trouble. Galloping along on destiny she found a sight that shivered her very being. There was no way that she could allow such an army of undead, collectors of souls and minds to come into her land and destroy all that had been fought to protect, Not again...visions of what had happened in her childhood passed by her eyes..." I will not let this happen again " She sent destiny away with a message for mina to call the warriors forward to battle and ran towards the denizens of darkness to send them away, But who was the little girl amongst them, small but well built and fighting off more than a small creature should ever have been able to? A Drow....? Cutting her way thru the field of blood and bones she made her way to the childlike girl. Back to back they faced of the enemy. Then the voice came..."thou hast been Judged " Glory had no idea what it was to mean, but the little girl went white with fear. "it is the Trillium doorway, I have passed its threshold but now it is after my soul, I cannot escape it" It was as she said those words that the light around her began to shimmer, still fighting glory heard the little girls pleas, " do not let them take me back, I cannot go there again, Save my soul" Glory grimaced as a blade hacked into her shoulder, winced in pain as another was thrust into her leg. On she battled tho, brave as any Felluca Warrior could be. The girl started to fade into the light so glory mustered all her strength and leapt towards her, grabbing her into her protective arms. "I will Save you, I will protect you in this world " Mina came riding with the wind, Warriors behind her with lances out and blades at the ready, cutting thru the swarry of undeads, destroying what they can in order to reach their friend. That was the moment Of judgement, By her words, Glory had been judged to replace Thorn. And the light grabbed her soul. Mina shrieked as a part of her was torn, unsure what to do she grabbed the girl and thru her onto the saddle and held her hand out to Glory, She will never forget the words spoken that day, Glory looked into her eye and said "I have to go, I gave her my word I would protect her. We have lived well and avenged our family. Now I must go into this void and seek my destiny" the light shimmered once again and the image of glory was no more, no body. No dead bodies at all. Just a little girl sobbing on the back of Minas horse. Mina turned to the girl and told her, "my sister sacrificed herself for you, so now you will be protected by me." Thorn swore fealty to nobody, but this day she swore an oath to follow the Lady Mina, and another adventure was about to start. |
